Barrier Packs / Spacer Pouches

Barrier Packs /  Spacer Pouches are preferred when the temperature maintenance capability of the main packs is gross & is slightly away from the target temp. Barrier Packs help temperature maintenance ranges.

These packs are normally made from eutectics / PCMs along with some adsorbing medium like gel or Flexi foam.

Barrier packs resist undesirable temperature excursions & maintain the temperature of the load within the prescribed range. Barrier packs are kept between the source packs / major packs and the load.

Sometimes in larger systems, these packs are also kept within the load to ensure least hot spots & enhanced uniform temperature maintenance.

Barrier Packs are generally custom made according to custom size and temperature.
